Anjali Tarun

Anjali started her PhD in MIP:lab in September 1, 2016 under the supervision of Dimitri Van de Ville. Her research project investigates how the structural connectivity (SC) within the white matter constrains the dynamics of functional connectivity (FC) between different regions in the gray matter, through state-of-the-art graph signal processing approaches. She is also working on characterising the dynamics of FC across different sleep stages.

Anjali obtained her bachelors and masters degree from the National Institute of Physics, University of the Philippines. She was also working as a full-time physics teacher at the institute while doing her masters. Her prior research background is on particle tracking and complex systems research. She used network theory to characterise the spatiotemporal organisation of different dynamical systems.
