Satu Palva (University of Helsinki) and Dimitri Van De Ville organized the Symposium entitled “Computational approaches to understand emergence of human brain dynamics across spatial, temporal and 
anatomical scales” at SfN 2025 (Nov 15-19, San Diego). The symposium featured presentations by Stephanie Jones (Brown University) and Viktor Jirsa (Aix-Marseille University), as well as the organizers.

Dimitri presented brain structure-function relationships by starting from the seminal paper “Can one hear the shape of a drum?” (Mark Kac, 1966) and then extending to graph signal processing and the structural decoupling index (Preti et al, 2019).
