The paper entitled “Disentangling metabolic and neurovascular timescales supporting cognitive processes” (PNAS, Sept 2025), co-first authored by Francesca Saviola and Stefano Tambalo, has won the Publication Award 2025 in Human and Clinical Neuroscience from the Swiss Society for Neuroscience (SSN).

Francesca presented the results of her study at the SSN Business Meeting on February 5, 2026. The work bridges fMRI-fMRS to reveal distinct metabolic/vascular dynamics in cognition, which is key for advancing the excitation-inhibition balance research. Congrats Francesca!!!
