During the 2026 Congress of the Swiss Society for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (SSPP2026) in Lugano, Luigi F. Saccaro, MD, PhD, received the Frutiger Prize in recognition of his overall research career in Switzerland and for the article “Limbic-Sensorimotor Tug of War for the Hippocampus: Dynamic Functional Connectivity as a Transdiagnostic Vulnerability Marker in Offspring of Patients With Emotion Dysregulation”.

He also received an ex aequo prize from the SCAP for the article “Machine learning reveals a multimodal, transdiagnostic signature of emotion dysregulation vulnerability across patients, offspring, and controls”. These works are the result of a collective effort involving all co-authors and collaborators.
